Travel Tuesdays: Hawaii Edition

My parents are headed to Hawaii next week {sigh}...I'm happy for them to have that time away, of course, because they are more than deserving - but I can't help but be a bit jealous that they are off to Hawaii for a nice vacay, and then my brother is headed to Cancun for Spring Break {a group of 21 year old boys, from a military college, in Cancun for Spring Break - makes me shudder just thinking about it} I'll be, you know, holdin' down the Gary fort for awhile by myself and working my little butt off while they're all having daiquiris in paradise. My parents are headed to Kaua'i for the first time, but we went as a family to Maui a couple years ago which was amazing. While they're relaxing and going on adventures in Kaua'i, I will just be daydreaming and thinking of these past fun times with the fam in Maui....

A few things we did on our trip:

• Helicopter ride over the island, seeing Oprah's house from above, seeing gorgeous waterfalls all across the island, and stopping on the mountain for a champagne break
• Driving the legendary Road to Hana with pit stops along the way to see local spots
• Snorkeling
• Daiquiris & Pina Coladas by the pool
• An authentic Luau with hula dancers and a pig roast
