On moving...

Unfortunately my little blog is going to have to take a backseat for awhile {let's be honest, I've been bad about posting these past couple of months} but especially now, I just don't have the time. I am still working at my current job, and every night coming up before my big move I will be packing, seeing friends, attending final happy hours, etc. - not enough time in the day! Then, I'll be moving into my new place, starting a new job, and heading to SC on a family vacation.

Also, I am currently getting a re-design together, so I want to re-launch this blog once everything is set up. I'm very excited from what I've seen so far!

Stay tuned....I will be back around the first or second week of August!!

Times are a'changin

What a lovely day!! I'm serious, today is beautiful here in DC and of course like most people I am stuck inside at work. I will definitely be taking a little break to head outside for lunch. Enough about the beautiful weather, I have some exciting news!

I will be leaving my current job here in Arlington, VA and heading back to Richmond. I have loved spending the past year here in Arlington, being on my own, and starting life after college, but I am so excited for this next chapter. I will be working in a small media agency in Richmond that has a specialized focus on social media. They are very new, and very small, but they are starting to grow rapidly, and they are even going to be opening an office in London this coming Fall! {travel opportunities? woo woo!}

Not only do I have an awesome new job that I will be starting next month, but I am going to be back in town with my best friends and my family. I have such a soft spot in my heart for Richmond, and although I am adventurous and l.o.v.e to travel, I seem to slowly be realizing that Richmond might always be my home {but who's to say what the future holds}.

So there's my news - lots of fun adventures to come! I'm so excited I can hardly handle it :)

Peaches n' Cream

Happy Monday my loves! Stay tuned this week for some news about my future...but for now, I have dedicated this post to one of my favorite things about summer. I love fresh fruit in the summer months and the quintessential summer fruit in the south is fresh peaches. My next baking endeavor will be to try a homemade peach pie - yum! They are perfect for a light summer dessert paired with vanilla ice cream. I also would love to go out and pick peaches one afternoon. Apple picking is such a fun fall adventure, but peach picking seems like it would be just as enjoyable - only a little warmer ;) I do remember when I was younger my dad would do this every now and then in the summer, and I think it's time to start that up again!

Peach, white, and gold are a perfect color combination for staying cool in the summer. How cute is this cover-up and hat? Wouldn't this outfit be perfect for catching some rays? Or eating some peach pie, or maybe drinking a refreshing peach flavored coktail, by the pool?

A Post on Annoyance

Sorry again for the lack of posting, ugh - when I arrived home on Sunday evening, I discovered my internet and cable were out. I called Comcast where the automated voice told me it was an hour wait to talk to the representative (it didn't actaully take that long, thank god) but when I did talk to them, they couldn't fix either, typical...so that leaves me cable and internet-less for this week until Saturday morning when they could fit me in. Let's just add this to my mile-long list of reasons why I despise Comcast.

I'm sorry, I know I sound super negative and rude but there are few things I hate in this world and Comcast is one of them.
